Ongoing and past monitoring research activities
Stress Estimation on Offshore Structures
A PhD project that investigates the possibility of estimating stress values on offshore structures using methods of monitoring, specifically Operational Modal Analysis (OMA).
Mapping Waves using LIDAR
A PhD project, that looks into the use of a new LIDAR equipment for mapping ocean waves. The project is a collaboration with Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Centre (DHRTC)
Dam Safety and Monitoring
A PhD project on Dam Safety and Monitoring by PhD-student Yongtao Liu, a visiting researcher from China. He will stay in the group for a year.
Indirect Load Measurement
A PhD project, that looks into the properties of indirect loading on offshore structures. The project is a collaboration with Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Centre (DHRTC)
Monitoring of bridges
Collaboration with Tongji University, China. Huahuai Sun from China is here to do work on bridges in China, where they monitor using accelerometers.
