The new Work-integrated Master's degree programme in Civil and Architectural Engineering offers your company the opportunity to employ an engineering student while he or she studies a Master of Science in Engineering. The new setup creates the opportunity to collaborate with our researchers within your field.
In the new Master’s Programme, students combine their university studies with part-time employment in a company. It is still possible to follow a traditional Master’s programme at the department, with 2 years of fulltime studies.
The student has completed a Bachelor of Science degree or a Bachelor of Engineering degree (diplomingeniør) in civil and architectural engineering. They have experience working with complex technological challenges as well as linking theory and practice.
At Aarhus University, this includes the BSc in Civil and Architectural Engineering or the BEng in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering. Equivalent bachelor’s programmes from other universities are also relevant. Please note that the formal admission requirements for the Professional MSc Programme must be met.
The programme is research-based, which means that throughout their studies, students are taught and supervised by active researchers with deep insight into technological developments in industry.
As a company, you can look forward to a rewarding collaboration with the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering.
You will gain:
Academic content of the programme
In the Master’s degree in Civil and Architectural Engineering, students build upon their previous knowledge of the core disciplines of building engineering and learn to apply statistical methods, artificial intelligence, simulation, and advanced modelling in their engineering practice. Students have the freedom to structure their Master’s degree according to their interests, and within a Professional Master’s trajectory, they will (to a large extent) work in a project-based manner with the company’s specific challenges.
