Research

I am a postdoc and primarily engaged in nano-engineered cementitious composites, ultra-high-performance/functional concrete, and solid waste utilization. I have authored 1 English book published by Springer and 30 SCI-indexed papers (h-index 17; 1640+ citations). I also received the 2025 China Materials Research Society Science and Technology Award, the 2024 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation of Liaoning Province, and the 2023 China Building Materials Federation Science and Technology Award.

Teaching activities

With the support of my supervisor, I am currently responsible for supervising four MSc students (one completed and three ongoing). I also occasionally deliver lectures for the Master’s course Advances in Concrete Technology on behalf of my supervisor.

Collaborations

My research experience spans academia at DUT (China), NUS (Singapore), and AU (Denmark), as well as industry at Sobute New Materials (Senior R&D Engineer). I also maintain active collaborations with Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), Imperial College London (ICL), Tianjin University (TJU), and Hacettepe University (HÜ).

Consultancy

Recently, I served as a review expert for the CSCIED Core Technology Evaluation Database, a committee member of the Chinese Society for Nanocomposites, and a task group member of the International Institute for FRP in Construction (IIFC TG2, UK). Also, I hold editorial/youth editorial/guest editor/reviewer roles for some SCI-indexed journals.
