Social Robotics

A human and design centered approach to robotics

The project take a human perspective in the pursuit to explore and builds social robots. The term robot, tend to conjure up two general images, either that of a machine designed to look and perform like a living being – often a human, or that of a robotic arm on a production line. However, the project seeks to challenge this notion, exploring for example furniture as a frame of reference and source of inspiration, exploring for example the relationship between the user and the robot, how control is divided, how it integrated into everyday life.
