The Tectonic Design group codifies the transition between the engineered data and the intentional architectural variables aiming to foster a culture of sustainable, adaptable, and adaptive solutions. Its underlying tectonic approach is here meant to acknowledge the multidisciplinary nature of architectural engineering and the interdisciplinary value of the architectural elements and components.

Through explorative physical experimentation and computational design, the group researches the ways spaces and structures can be formed that adapt to the structural, environmental, or human actions, it investigates sustainable material strategies and assembly-driven innovation processes, and it formulates and tests metrics that address the resulting wellbeing of the users.
