CoMotion bench

Exploring how shape-changing furniture can affect social behaviour

CoMotion is a shape-changing bench designed to explore how shape-changing furniture affects social behaviour and atmospheres in context. Furthermore, the aim of the case has been to explore; how people experience and make sense of shape-changing interfaces, as well as how atmosphere and context affect the experience of shape change.

The bench has been tested in three different contexts, a concert hall, an airport departure lounge, and a shopping mall, gathering insights from more than 100 people.
